Bugaboo Cameleon, Bugaboo Donkey and Bugaboo Buffalo 2015

The new Bugaboo Runner was recently unveiled in the US. The new Bugaboo Runner pushchair, and the separate Runner chassis, (which will take any of the current Bugaboo seat units,) will go on sale in 2015.

However, Best Buggy are hearing rumours of changes to the Bugaboo Cameleon, Bugaboo Buffalo and the Bugaboo Donkey for 2015.

With the advent of the new Bugaboo Bee 3, the new harness and buckle were noted along with the new hood fabric. We understand that the new 5 point harness / buckle was likely to have been changed on the Bee3, to meet the safety regulations of the Australian market, which we believe insists on 5 piece breakaway harnesses. This may be why we have seen these 5 piece harnesses, introduced in 2014 on a number of pushchairs, which are stocked internationally.

Therefore we, at Best Buggy, are expecting at some point that all the harnesses / buckles on the other Bugaboo strollers, will also have a makeover to bring them into line with the Bee3. We suspect this will happen in 2015.

There is also the possibility that the hood fabrics may also change across the strollers to be similar to Lycra style hood of the Bugaboo Bee 3. We sincerely hope this will not happen! We loved the quality canvas hoods of the current, and past Bugaboo pushchairs, compared to the floppy, swaying, messy hood on our Bugaboo Bee 3.

However, thankfully there was no sign of Lycra hoods on the Bugaboo pushchairs shown at Cologne, or at the ABC Expo last month. Thus, we can live in hope that canvas tailored fabrics will remain!

We are hearing that the bumper bar on the Donkey will be made similar to the Buffalo and Cameleon 3 ones. We also believe that there may be a change to the side basket for the Donkey which would be great. It would be great if the fold could finally be made much flatter and more compact, although we don’t think this is likely! Could this be the Bugaboo Donkey 3 (?) – after all it would be the third generation of the Donkey; which would bring the Donkey name neatly into line with the Cameleon 3 and the Bee 3.

We are also hearing rumours that Bugaboo Cameleon 3 is going to get a more open basket for 2015 – and that the Cameleon may even be renamed…The Bugaboo Cameleon 4 maybe, although this may seem out of place then with the other stroller names??

The Bugaboo Cameleon, Donkey and Buffalo we understand will have more padded seat units for 2015, to bring them more inline with the Bee 2 seat.

We assume that the Bugaboo Runner will be produced with the new seat fabric, harness etc.

The Bugaboo Buffalo will not be left out. We know there is a special limited edition Buffalo on the way. Also the recent collaboration with the iconic lifestyle brand Diesel and the Bugaboo Cameleon³ was the first of three different Diesel collections, over a period of three years. Therefore there will be more Diesel special editions in 2016.

We believe that many of these changes will happen in Spring 2015. Watch this space for more details as we find out.
